Marika Masters

November 2020

Marika was born with sickle cell disease. A genetic red blood cell disorder that causes severe pain and serious health complications. At age six, Marika went deaf, thankfully the doctor was able to perform a minor operation and she was able to get her hearing back. Earlier this summer, Marika received a bone marrow transplant in hopes of curing the sickle cell disease. Her healing has been a roller coaster, but she is a strong cookie. She is a wonderful, loving and caring person who is always smiling making others laugh. Marika wants to be a travel nurse one day and will be a fantastic nurse.
